Folk Table began with a simple idea: to create a dining experience that honors the traditions of slow food and the craftspeople who grow it. Founded in 2012 by Chef Maria Donovan, our restaurant celebrates the rich bounty of our local agricultural community.
Each dish tells a story of seasonality, sustainability, and the careful hands that bring food from soil to plate. We believe in honoring ingredients through traditional techniques and thoughtful preparation.
"Good food is a celebration of community."
The hands behind our flavors
Executive Chef & Founder
With roots in her grandmother's Italian kitchen, Maria brings old-world techniques to modern sustainable cuisine. Her specialty is transforming humble ingredients into extraordinary dishes.
Pastry Chef
James combines traditional European pastry techniques with foraged local ingredients. His desserts celebrate the natural sweetness of seasonal fruits and heirloom grains.
Sous Chef
Sofia's background in both traditional Mexican cuisine and classic French technique brings depth to our menu. She specializes in our fermentation and preservation program.
The soil that nurtures our story
Three generations of the Clearwater family have tended these 30 acres, providing us with heritage vegetables and fruits. Their heirloom tomatoes and rare apple varieties are the stars of our summer and fall menus.
12 miles from Folk Table
This small-scale dairy focuses on grass-fed Jersey cows, producing rich milk, cream, and artisanal cheeses. We work with cheesemaker Ana Reeves to create custom-aged varieties exclusive to Folk Table.

Tucked into the forests north of town, Miguel and Sara cultivate rare mushroom varieties in sustainable indoor and outdoor operations. Their foraged wild mushrooms are a highlight of our autumn offerings.

The Jensen family raises heritage breed pigs, sheep, and cattle on pasture using regenerative agricultural practices. Their commitment to animal welfare and environmental stewardship aligns perfectly with our values.
